Do you have to use a nutrient bag to hatch new Triops?
I was wondering if the nutrient bags is needed to hatch more baby Triops,? I used the last two that came with the deluxe kit.
I’ll rate, as I would like to know.
Is an aqarium heater ok to place in the Triops container that came with the kit?
I purchased the Triassic Triops Deluxe kit.
The heater would assure the right temp. for the Triops, as I don’t have a lamp. The only thing I have is a 5 gallon aquarium and it has the growing light in the hood, and it’s next to my computer monitor. Would both be sufficient lighting for the Triops to grow, and food value (algae) wise?
The kit comes with food. I read they also need the algae as well.

What’s your opinion on Triops, and would they be a good alternative to fish?
I was thinking on getting some. More specifically the deluxe kit. And is the volume of the kit containers good for the triops life span? If possible do you think a small 2.5 gallon tank is good for them? Is a gravel substrate Ok? Do I need a filter or heater? Is it true they’re cannibals? Can the eggs laid be hatched?
Sorry for all the questions but I want to know which conditions are ideal.
