If I made my own distilled water (boiling water which takes out the minerals and chemicals), is this safe to use for my Triops to hatch? I have looked into jugs of distilled water already. I want to make my own distilled water!

I have a small aquarium with some triops langicaudatis and some artemia. It contains around 10-12 liters of distilled water ( mixed with deionized water, if the two types of water are not the same ).
They are one and a half week old, so I guess the habitat is OK.
My question :
I would like to put another animal or some plants inside the aquarium : an animal would be nice because it would make everything more interesting, the plants may provide more oxigen for the triops and the artemias. Which animals can live in that water? And which plants?
My first ideas:
Gold Apple Snail
Daphnia
Some kind of shellfish or crabs
And for the plants :
Elodea and amazon sword plant
What can you suggest?
I got some triops from a kit and it says that it takes 18-48 hours for them to hatch. It’s already been one day and nothing changed ? Whats wrong? Do I need to wait some more? Oh and it said to use spring water or distilled water so I used purified water (like you put it in the brita filter) Is it okay to use that kind of water ? Besides that I followed all the directions.
BTW it was from a Triassic Triops DLX kit.
