How can you get triops to live long?

The only time I had triops was a while ago and it was a little kit with no filter and never called for water changes, so ti si pretty obviouse why they did not live long!
What temp water do they like?
How big to they get if allowed enough room to grow?
How many could you have per gallon?
Do they need a heater?
Oh wow black cat! I thought maybe because of the kits, with no filter and the tank cycling with them in it might cause an early death, I never knew they lives such a short life. Interesting info!

What kind of plants are okay with triops?

I have some triops and i am going to put them in a 5 gallon tank. I just used the one that came with the kit to raise them. What kind of plant could i put in with my triops? I heard it puts extra oxygen in the water and they can eat it. And also if i used an under gravel filter with sand would i still have to clean the tank every week? Thanks alot

How long does it take for Triops to hatch?

I got some triops from a kit and it says that it takes 18-48 hours for them to hatch. It’s already been one day and nothing changed ? Whats wrong? Do I need to wait some more? Oh and it said to use spring water or distilled water so I used purified water (like you put it in the brita filter) Is it okay to use that kind of water ? Besides that I followed all the directions.
BTW it was from a Triassic Triops DLX kit.

Will Triops breed in gravel?

I was going to use an under gravel filter that came with a tank I bought. However I plan on having the Triops breed. Will they still lay eggs in gravel. Will the filter pump suck up and kill off the eggs? Lots of care sheets say it’s best to use an undergravel filter but none of them mention if it’s “ok” to breed with.
Triops lay atleast 10 eggs every day, and have a life span of about 2 months, so they do carry them around..but not for long…
