animals and plants to put into a large closed ecosystem? bottle biology, must be both aquatic and terrestrial?

it would be made up of 10 2Litre coke bottles and maybe a couple of the old mason jars if i can get them. bottles will be connected by pvc pipe to allow animals to go between sections.
must have both aquatic and terrestrial
must have both plants and animals living in each section

current ideas:
Aquatic
use 60% as aquatic
using elodea for oxygen production
using whatever small animals come in the water from the pond as well as to get bacteria?
guppies or maybe a goldfish to create waste for nutrients for plants? (what plants should i use?)
possibly cheat the animal for both sections using small frogs from the pond?
maybe triops or shrimp
snails to eat algae

Terrestrial
what plants should I use?
types of insects?

suggestions?
thanks

Do my Triops needs a bigger tank?

I decided to buy a Triop kit and grow some Triops. My kit came with one of the round plain tanks that is around a litre big. I have been sucessful as I have nine triops all around a centimetre long and all 9 days old. I read on a website that you need 2 litres of water PER adult triop, and i have nine, does this mean I need to transfer them into 18 litres of water?!?!

When to move triops tank?

I have a little 1 litre tank that im rasing the triops in, i have a 5 gallon one witha filter to move them into

When should i move them? 1 week / 2 weeks??

I dont want them to get sucked into the filter so what size should they be?

How many fish should I add to a 60-litre bi-orb?

I’ve currently got a tropical 60-litre bi-orb and I’m wondering about how many fish I can comfortably accommodate. Over the last months I’ve added 9 neon tetras, 2 red swordtails, 6 guppies and 2 dalmation mollies (and 3 plants which are growing nicely). No problems thus far except for a minor snail invasion I’ve managed to suppress. Is that as much as I should add? I was also thinking of adding a couple of triops in a month or so once I’ve grown them a bit in a separate tank.

My triops aren’t growing; They are still very small after about two-three weeks?

They are under a 40 or 60 watt light. From the looks of it, there are a hundred or more in the tank. There are some very small triops in the tank that look like they just hatched. Some swim like they are going up and down, while others swim around like a fish would and they look sort of like little oblong balls. They are in a one litre tank (I think that’s how big it is). Thanks.
