How to put mystery snail in a holding container..?

Hello, I currently have a 10 gallon tank with some sand and a few plants. The only inhabitant right now is a mystery snail (my Triops died so hes the only thing left)

I want to get African Dwarf Frogs, but in order to do this, I want to change my substrate from sand to eco-complete (so I can add more plants and theyll stay healthier)

The 10 gallon tank is the only tank I have, so where should I put the snail while I am cleaning the tank? I have small, containers that I can keep him in for the time being, like small glass containers and such.

But for heat, should I just keep a lamp over the container he is in? Or will the intense light harm the snail?

Nerite snail OR mystery snail?

I want one of these snails but I am undecisive of which one to get.

If you could, please list the benefits and downsides of these snails (or at least one of them) and tell me what one you would prefer? (note: Im putting the snail in a tank with Triops, and ive heard these are the two best snails to house with them, so please do not suggest other species of snail)

also i would REALLY appreciate it if you did NOT give me answers like ” Iike this snail cus its pretty” or “this one cus its colorful”. I want actual beneficial reasons as to why I should get the snail over the other one.

Thankyou!
Dear Rebecca: Youre a damn fool for trying to out-smart me. Nerites only need brackish water to breed. Im well aware that they are smaller than mysteries. Im also well aware that mysteries snails applies to many species, but last time I checked, theres only ONE species sold in pet stores. nice try though. Mystery snails (ALL of the species) only go above water level to lay eggs, or search for food in desperation.

Next time, do your research. And think twice before posting absurd answers, because people like me will make you look very, VERY stupid- especially when Im in a bad mood.

PS: I gaurentee I know more about you considering Im majoring in biological sciences, have taken several biology classes, and interned at public aquariums. Despite the fact I do not own snails, I know a considerable amount of information about them.

The only reason I am asking this question is because I want feedback of people who DO own these snails and see what their perspectives are.

Have a nice night

How many fish should I add to a 60-litre bi-orb?

I’ve currently got a tropical 60-litre bi-orb and I’m wondering about how many fish I can comfortably accommodate. Over the last months I’ve added 9 neon tetras, 2 red swordtails, 6 guppies and 2 dalmation mollies (and 3 plants which are growing nicely). No problems thus far except for a minor snail invasion I’ve managed to suppress. Is that as much as I should add? I was also thinking of adding a couple of triops in a month or so once I’ve grown them a bit in a separate tank.
