i tried to hatch triops once……but it never hatched……i need some details about hatching triops….i just use a fish as a container for my triops…..and….i need to know where/how many should i poke in the conditioner bag…..and how do i know the temperature of the water without the thermometer…….

Hello, I’ve tried hatching a batch of triops eggs and used only distilled water, plenty of light and controlled temperature. 6 days have passed with no hatching so I’m assuming something went wrong. I read on some websites that very often Triops kits come with dry organic matter (usually leaves) that are supposed to provide baby triops with nutrition for the first few days. My kit did not supply this, so I used plain dry leaves from my garden. Didn’t work. Neither did my tank where I put fairy shrimp eggs (for triops food) and the exact same conditions as the triops hatching tank.
I started another tank for fairy shrimp eggs using only water and no dried leaves. Temperature, light and water quality were all highly controlled. Still no hatching after 4 days.
Where have I screwed up? Is it possible for ALL the eggs in my kit to be dead?

I’m in the UK, Lancashire. Its for my triops it says to do them between 22-26C.
I just got the kit for christmas and ive got the water in the little tank and it says make sure the water temperature is at least 70 degrees and how do i make sure of the temperature and what kind of light do i need to buy to put on top to get it warm and what wattage???
