ok i have tried to hatch and raise aquasaurs (triops) i successfully hatched and raised 6 only for them to die, it says on all the sale websites of these all you need is a lamp over the tanks to keep the water raised between 70 to 80 degrees, which means leaving on all the time i suppose, i had a glass tank with a water heater in that you can get for tropical fish, as the lamp was not keeping the water a steady temaperature it would raise when heating was on in the house and drop over night. i used bottled water as suggested, on asking some aquatic centres they say they only live about a couple of weeks, others say up to 90 days. i have read these are easy to keep, it was hard work and quite expensive for heaters and water ect. i now have guppies in my fish tank by the way when i gave up but i would like to try again

Hello, we just received our Triop kit in the post (weren’t expecting it for a few days-thus haven’t bought distilled water yet). Needless to say we are totally excited/impatient and I want to know if I can use water filtered by my Brita water filter instead of distilled water from the store?

my triops (aquasaurs) are upside down on the bottom of my tank and when they do move they seem to be swimming in a circle i changed the water for fresh bottled water again but they still are on there backs and some have died i have a undergravel filter and an iarstone in the tank so everything should be ok its a 12″ x 8″ glass fish tank, i never realised these are so difficult to keep

I just ordered some of them triops off of ebay and i have read up they get pretty big.. so i have a old 10 gallon tank i dont use.. what all should i do to get it prepared and how long should it be set up before i put them in it? i got the delux triop kits so they will live in the tank included until ready to be moved.. i own alot of fish but triops arent the same.. and distilled water isnt cheap so i was woundering if i could just use the water purifirer i use in the regular fish tanks? or should i just buy distilled water? also should i buy a uv lamp for them? and any other comments will be appericated im trying with them again so hopefully i will succeed and have them live a good 3-4 months as like the seamonkeys i tried over and they lasted a year and a half please please leave tips and comments on your expericence thanks

Ok so last night i put my triop eggs in and today i seen little white speck swimming around in the water. Just a little bit ago i looked in the tank and only seen a few after earlier seeing about 25 and there is a bunch of water conditioner floating aroung on top….could they be hiding in it or are they already being cannibals?????
