Can triops survive in regular water (not distilled) for a couple minutes?

I need to clean my triop tank. I cant even see in there. Can i put them in a cup of regular water while I clean the tank with new water?

  1. Unless you have a well, tap water contains chlorine. The Chlorine will kill your triops. Why can’t you put them in a cup of distilled water?

  2. Never heard of a triop but am guessing it is a fish. Why not avoid the risk of chlorination, and change in water temperature// and scoop out a cup of water out of the tank and put them in that until you done the job. Then just scoop them out of the cup back into the tank once the tank water is at the correct temp.
