Different things hatched in Triop kit?

So I got this kit for triops and after 3 days 1 triop looking thing did hatch. But then 2 of the little twitchy bug things hatched 4 days after I put the eggs in, still no more of the triops, then now on the 5th day a TON of these little twitchbugs were swimming around, and im amost positive its not triops because i looked at them under a microscope and they look like a see through bug. what are these? and are any more triops going to hatch?

  2. There’s a number of possibilities here. The first one is that it could simply be newborn Triops, which haven’t yet taken the adult shape yet. Other possibilities could be other vernal pool invertebrates such as Fairy Shrimp, Cyclops and Copepods. Their eggs are often mixed in with Triops kits, but because Triops are the apex predator, they are often eaten and not given a chance to grow. In a situation where Triops eggs don’t hatch (or die early, etc), it is possible for these other invertebrates to establish themselves instead.

Its best not to poke with the critters with a microscope. If it were a triops then it would’ve been hurt. Leave them. The best thing to do is wait till they grow up to see what they are. Look up some pictures of copepods, fairy shrimp ,ostracod and clam shrimp and see if they match your description.
If no triops hatch after a week then get another starter kit or eggs kit or something.
