triops need 2.5 gallons of water, and need food. water can get very murky and tempature, they live on all contenants except antartica.

You’re gonna have to do some research on the sharks you’d be interested in.
I can tell you about iridescent sharks. DO NOT get one if you can’t have AT LEAST a 400 gallon tank, bigger than that is even better. 400 gallons would only work also, if it were the only fish in the tank. They grow to 48 ” and anything too small will quickly kill them. It stunts their grown on the outside, but inside, their organs will continue to grow and cruelly kill them. They are an extremely peaceful fish, so if you’re looking for something ferocious, this won’t be the one.
Just remember, the more fish you have, the bigger tank you’ll need.

They only breathe out of their gills. They don’t come to the surface for air. They have to get at top speeds at times in order to breathe. If the tank is too small, this means they will crash into the ends of the tank, and besides injuring themselves, could shatter the tank.

A black tipped reef shark on the other hand (salt water fish, whereas iridescents are freshwater), will grow to 6′ long, and 100 pounds. They can jump completely out of the water, which means you’d have to have latches on the lid to prevent that from happening. Their numbers are dwindling and will likely soon be on the endangered list, so in some states, it may not even be legal to privately own one, you’d have to check. They would definitely need a HUGE tank.

There are smaller freshwater sharks, but it doesn’t sound like you’re really interested in them if you’re willing to spend 1,000 on a tank, sounds like you want a larger one, am I right?

you haven’t said whee you’re putting the tank, but you’re gonna need a stand (very expensive but I suppose you could build your own if so inclined), and all the accessories that go with them, air pumps, filters, skimmers, etc. It’s a pretty costly hobby. Your 1,000 probably won’t go very far (size-wise)
