Yes, Triops are highly cannibalistic. Unless they’re separated early, or in a large container, you’ll usually only end up with one or two eating the rest.
my niece has sea monkeys and dinosaur shrimp, the triops are the better of the two because they are cool (3 eyes!) and bigger.

I agree with daniel c, triops are a type of shrimp and can be incredibly aggresive.
