  1. All those are marketing names for brine shrimp, and I think that is the only “pet” you add water to. I have heard of some crickets that are frozen 8 months of the year and survive to breed in the spring.

    edit–sorry, this dummy wasn’t the one who asked a question about “instant pets” now that’s dumb! They are all members of the same phyla, and I don’t think they truly qualify as a pet.

    Ever heard of a cougar, mountain lion, puma? Those are all different names for exactly the same animal. No difference genetically. All the “creatures” you have named are the same phyla or genetic family, but some marketers have given them different names, just as the people in different parts of the country gave the North American big cat a different local name for the same beastie.
