I need help with my triops, I have had a light over them since 11am this morning.?

I put the tip of my finger in the water, and it is still really cold, what do I need to make the water get warmer cause the triops hatch tomorrow. The only warm part is the hatchery zone where the light is nearest.

  2. Well most logical is to invest in a heater, but it’s really not worth it if you don’t plan on breeding them or having them around for a long time (multiple generations). You could put the tank in more light or in a warmer part of your house, but I’m pretty sure that triops don’t need tropical temperatures so room temp should be fine. Also, putting the tank in light could cause an algae growth.
Remember, your body temperature is 98.6 F and water sitting at 70 F might still feel cool to you. Try a thermometer.
