  1. No it’s not. Distilled means all impurities are removed; bottled water contains trace amounts of minerals and other substances.

bottled water just means it’s water in a bottle, many come from springs, lakes, even municipal water sources (tap water)

distilled water is water that was boiled into steam, condensed and bottles, it’s a fairly pure form of water although some things do boil with it and can be collected with the water

reverse osmosis and deionization are much better ways of purifying water and are almost entirely pure (some contaminants may enter, but that’s just life and unavoidable)

If it comes in a bottle, then it’s bottled distilled water. Follow the directions for your triops precisely – distilled water has the impurities removed which may kill your triops. Never use tap water, the chlorine will kill the beasties.

  4. you can use bottled water for your fish, i bought my son a betta fish about 1yr ago and the fishy is still alive. they told me at the pet shop to make it easier just use bottled water,

instead of using regular water and using the drops and waiting all that time befor putting in your fish.

For triops, you can use bottled spring or distilled water. I find that they actually do better in spring water–the minerals help their exoskeletons develop properly. Sometimes, though, triops just won’t cooperate no matter what you do, and will just die no matter what you try. Still, it’s fun to watch them double in size *every day.* They’re cannibalistic, though; when they are very young, they will eat each other.
