Well, the truth is that triops couldn’t catch or hurt a healthy fish, and as long as the fish is not big enough to harm the Triops they should be fine.
You should also watch out with the heater because without any water movement (filter, pump) the heater creates areas of much hotter water around it and that may shock the Triops. It can even lead to death if it’s a small tank.

i have 4 day old triops and they are 1 mm long!!! o a tip… be careful ware they go. one of mine got a hare in the water wrapped around his tail. i thought he would die *tear* but he just lost the tip of his tail.
he cant go very fast now and i think hell die of malnutrition. *bursts out crying* HE WAS SO YOUNG!!!

sorry for the delay but i was right. he died a few days later then the water get to merky and they all died… but hey my mom is getting me more and a $20 fish tank starter kit with a filter and such! it rocks! how are yours going? oh and (for the heck of it [i have a gf ]) happy valentines day!

Yeah, my triop is doing great now shes in my bigger tank. She obviously enjoys the extra space and swims around a lot…and I can sleep at night now I don’t have to have my light on to warm the water up! xD

And if you’re talking about the ‘teabag’ water conditioner, then I believe your supposed to poke holes in it…the conditioner in my kit didn’t come like that =S

They grow up pretty fast! And I read somewhere online that its ok to take them out after 3 days, it doesn’t hurt to keep them in but they are only really needed for the first few days =]

The water was actually still pretty clean, and the video was done while my triop was still in its small tank, not long after I put it in a bigger tank with a few fish and everything was fine…she seemed to love the extra room =]
