I bought my sister Sea monkeys for her 7th birthday and they died after 3 weeks she is very upset because she always wanted a pet and the closest she could get to getting one was sea monkeys I want to get her triops but they cost £14.00 and im going to a football game with friends soon so if I get her them I wont be able to go what would you do and what are better Sea Monkeys or Triops.
Thanks guys! im pretty annoyed because the sea monkeys cost me £15.00 the same price as a massive triops tank the one with the grass and volcano I think I’ll probably go to the football because I live miles away from the team I support and they are playing my local team in a friendly but ill probably get her triops in a week and I hope its true about they lay eggs before they die that would be great!

Yeah I thought about fish but my mum said no because when I was younger I had a fish and she said she may as well have bought a dog the money she spent on its vet bills because she realy didnt want it to die when it got a disease because I would sit and watch it for hours (I was only 4 lol) and she knew I would be sad which I was

Triops are extremely interesting, never had some before. I’ve only had sea monkeys, and those are great! Don’t worry, all pets die, it’s just 3 weeks is not enough for a 7 year old. My little sister got some when she was 5. We very much enjoyed them, while they lasted. I think you should get her some triops since she’s already had the sea monkeys!

TRIOPS! Defintiely – sea monkeys are tiny and basically bullshit – you can hardly even see them.
triops grow to about an inch or two in size – live for about two months, and it’s a reusable gift. before they die, they lay eggs – dry out the container and rewater it and the next generation comes to life – plus, the eggs stay safe till they’re rewatered – I bought triops probably 11-12 years ago and I still bring ‘em back now and then.

The triops probably wont live very long either. Why not get her a FurReal pet? They make all kinds, dogs, cats, even monkeys. No, they’re not alive but she could take care of it.

i’ve had sea monkeys for about a year and as long as you do everything right they should last longer than just a few days. they’re low maintenance and pretty interesting to watch too. i’d go with sea monkeys

I have never done the Sea Monkeys but the triops were fun, i did them in 2nd grade and if you keep them fed and stuff they’ll survive for a while, but i mean one day without food for those things they’ll eat each other, but the other class did them all right and they got really big, it was cool. I would ask for some money from some one to borrow, and im sorry if this made you skip your football game.

In my personal experience triops are well cooler. they can grow like 3 times bigger and you can see their mouths moving like a gold fishes, they also have exoskeletons, they live longer and are are alot more interesting, they would be worth the extra cash but that would all depend on how much you want to go to the football match but then again thats up to you.
but triops are better I used to feed my triops sea monkeys using the pippette lol

Maybe it wasn’t just the sea monkeys, you have to feed and change their water once a week. I also had some sea monkeys and they only lasted for about 3 weeks too, but I’ve heard their educational and entertaining.
Triops last longer, about 12 weeks! They grow about twice their size each day and can get pretty big. When their young they shed a lot, then can grow up to three inches. They need not as much maintenance as the sea monkeys and eat usually what comes with them in the package.
Now for the question about what to do. if you think and are positive you know what the right thing is then do it! Of course you can also work for a little extra money or borrow from someone and pay them back over a week or two little by little.
