Is there anyway, once you have been able to find a male, to find the eggs, dry them, store them and eventually re-hatch them at home?
I am interested in breeding them.
i just ordered 80 eggs
DO you NEED sand for them to lay there eggs in. And second of all cant females lay there eggs without a male.
You are in luck, triops can reproduce without males.Triops live about 3 months,so if you want to breed them, sell them quick.

They dont need males to lay eggs.
Do the eggs need sperm to fertilize and hatch, or just pure water?
They don’t need males.
i want to buy some i luv them :X:X:X
LONG LIVE TRIOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And almost all Triops are hermaphrodites so they dont need sperm. LONG LIVE TRIOPS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even though they have lived long but longer!!!
1 i dont know. and two yes. they do not need fertilysation of the eggs.
Technically, some strains do, some don’t. Some have males and females, some have only females, some have hermaphrodites, some have combinations.
Now that’s what I call A Fistful of Triops.
